Quick Update

I'm basically updating just to post my pictures from the baby shower Tuesday night!
Lots of cute stuff, lots of fun! And ooh, lots of good food too :)
We're excited about Lily & Mollie coming to visit tomorrow! I keep reminding the girls & they get excited.. Andrea, we're excited about you too! :)
So let's see...
OH!!!
Yesterday I got the best phone call you can hope for while your Marine is off at war... It was from the Family Readiness Officer, and she gave us dates of when to expect our Marine in Twentynine Palms! Of course I can't disclose the dates in here online because there's terrorist out there creeping online looking for these dates!! But it's THE BEST FEELING knowing that they've got their plane BOOKED to COME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled!! I haven't heard from Josh in ALMOST two whole weeks :( I wonder how long this is going to last! Honestly though, time's been going by really fast. And it can keep going fast, all the way until his homecoming!
Alright so here's the pictures, there's several, can't help it!!
Love,
Chynna

The Time Traveler's Wife

Oh man,
I just had to dedicate my title to that because I went to see it last night, and it's seriously the best movie I've seen in a long time. I don't think I've ever watched a movie in my LIFE that has made me seriously CRY. I can easily tear up in several movies but to actually cry and have to take a breath inbetween tears, wow. Of course you're thinking it's because I'm pregnant but my friends surrounding me were JUST as bad as I was! Makenze was worse, actually. :) It was really good and I recommend you to go see it! I want to see it again, IN THEATER, and I can't say that about any other movie!

But anyway, this weekend was a lot of fun. Friday [Josh's] Papa grilled out chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, and steak and then had a bonfire afterward! Saturday his Papa made chicken stew for everyone, then that night me, Kinsley, Preslee, Mama, Whitney, & Mia went to Bridge Street. We ate at Red Robin, then let the girls watch the water.. Mia got too close, she couldn't help herself!! She loved it. I didn't really have to worry about Kinsley getting wet because she's afraid of the water that shoots up from the ground. Lucky me. :) I wanted to shop for jewelry, but my stomach is in so much pain, it's like this little girl inside me is 10 lbs and is leaning on one side! It hurts really bad to walk most days. And today, I'm experiencing LOVELY shortness of breath. I read online (my other Dr) that it's completely normal. OF COURSE IT IS!!!!! Every ache and pain in pregnancy is normal! It's not normal if it hurts to inhale though. But it's not hurting. It just feels like I'm obese and can't get a good breath. I feel bad for obese people now, they really don't know how easy they could have it! Just breathing correctly could make them a happier person! And my legs, feet, arms, and hands fall asleep if I leave them in any kind of position too long. So it's like I have ADD and can't sit still. Then I'm not breathing right so I look like I'm in an invisible pool coming to the surface everytime I try to take a huge breath!! I must look so silly....

Oh!! So tonight is my baby shower! Jasmine [my sister in law] has kindly offered to host me one at her house. I'm soooo excited, who doesn't love baby stuff?!?! I'm really thinking that I like the name Abriella. I just can't come up with a middle name. I think Josh will like the first name though. And she could have different nicknames like Abby, Bri, and Ella! I think it's cute. I'd probably want to call her Ella for short. Not for sure tho. I also like Brynlie. To me Abriella is just so cute and girly, that's why I'm leaning towards it!!

Andrea, Lily, & Mollie will be here around lunch Friday (Lord willing) and Papa Bear will be here Sunday!!!!!! Then Monday we'll have Mia's bday party at Chuck-E-Cheese (extra excited because I love their pizza) So it's just gonna be a great week/weekend!
Anywho, it's very difficult for me to sit here and type this because I have all these problems going on so I must go now, I'll add pics too!
Much Love,
Chynna

19 days til take off.

Hey my little readers, whoever you may be..........
First off I'd just like to say, Excuse me if I sounded 'rude' in my last blog, that last part. Sorry if I over express myself, but you've got to keep in mind that not only are you reading a pregnant woman's words, but my HUSBAND and daughter's FATHER is in Iraq, off at WAR. So if I'm a little stressed here and there, don't think I'm always that 'rude'. [But, Andrea, I think you're the only one who reads this anyway, so you understand completely, I'm sure.]
Okay, moving on to other things!
The day I went to get my ultrasound, I had lunch with Blake, Kristal, & Ashley. Then we went to see "My Sister's Keeper" (really good, by the way!) So the pictures at the bottom are of us in the movie theater! Blake will make a really good husband, and daddy one day. If he's ever ready. :) No, I'm kidding, I'm proud he's not in a rush! Kristal & Ashley are sweet girls, as usual. That pizza we ate at Mellow Mushroom was deeeeelicious! I want some now, actually.
This morning has been great! Whitney bought Mia this super neat bubblegum machine that you put a penny in to get a piece. We're using it to encourage them to go potty. So far, Kinsley and Mia both have gone once! They'd do anything for bubblegum, so I'm hoping they'll stay interested, because they really need to be potty trained, haha! Whitney found Mia a school to start once we go back to California! I'm so glad that Whitney liked the lady and the kids and the location of it all. God takes care of us!
Haven't heard from Josh since Saturday, because a few hours later they were leaving for 'the field'. A Marine wife called me last night to let me know they tore down the internet/phone centers closest to our Marines. So, who really knows when I'll hear from Josh again. I hope he'll get to be on a base with phones sooner than later. If not, it's okay, I've handled it before! Besides, we're leaving for CA in less than 3 weeks now, so time's gonna start flying & he will be safe & sound at home REALLY SOON!!
I just got a quick phone call from my Daddy! Trying to figure out when I'm leaving for CA. I'm praying he and Andrea both will get to come up before we leave.. Because, Josh has told me more than once that we're not going home for Christmas, so who KNOWS when we'll get to come home next?!!? :(
I guess this is it for now. Oh, today I'm 26 weeks pregnant exactly! Wooo hoo, getting fatter everyday ;)
Love,
Chynna.Green

Everyday is a true blessing!

Hiiiiiiii :) :)
Well! Great, wonderful, spectacular news! I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultrasound (mostly to look at my placenta to see if it had moved up) and was seen by the doctor today and given the results, "the placenta looks GREAT!". My first question was, "can it come back, or mess up again?" and she said "no, once its moved up it stays there" wa-hoooooo! :) It's such a relief! First of all, I get to PICK UP MY KINSLEY!!!!!!! And this means I can fly out to California alone no problem (I can pick Kinsley up and pick up bags) and when we get our house I'll be able to move boxes if needed. This is just a huge load of my shoulders and I owe it all to God for making it possible!! Thanks for the prayers, also!

OH! So I got home to Granny's and ran to pick up Kinsley (haven't been able to do that in a LOOONNGG 5 weeks) and she wrapped her little arms around my neck and just held on SO tight and then looked at me and said, 'maaa-maaa!!' like I was the most wonderful thing she had ever seen! She made me feel soo special I love her so much!! Now when she says "Mama, I hold you" I can PICK HER UP!! Thank you, Lord!

Josh got to call me yesterday after my dr's appt to check on me but since I didnt have the results I didnt get to tell him! I'm hoping to hear from him soon so I can tell him so he won't worry anymore. He said it's sooooo hot there (yeah I can only imagine, I think its miserable here!!) and I said well other than that are you okay? He said Yeah he's just ready to come home.. :'( That made me sad to hear him say that! I can't imagine how bad he truly wants to be home, ugh I can't IMAGINE!! So of course I asked him was he still sticking to the plan (reenlist now and become a SOI Instructor) and he said Yes. So that's just another thing to be so incredibly grateful for! He also said the Marine Corps Ball has been booked for The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas for December 16. So that's neat that we'll get to go this year (Lord willing)

Well I think that's all for now....

Besides the fact I'm SICK AND TIRED of walking on EGG SHELLS around certain people, I don't have anything to complain about!
"I choose truth over peace"
Sorry if you can't handle the truth; BUT we all should choose truth over peace!

Love Always!
Me.

This is my pink pregnant self at 24 weeks pregnant with nameless Green ;)

This is me & my precious angel daughter Kinsley!

That says it all!
XOXO

Good Day!

Well, we're all moved out of the apartment, all is in storage except our clothes. First night at Granny & Papa's was Saturday! We got up early so we could go by McDonald's for a quick biscuit and chocolate milk :) Granny would've had us breakfast fixed but she had to go to the ER because her back was in so much pain. Turns out she strained something so she had to get a shot and she slept all day yesterday! I'm glad she's feeling better today. I got to talk to Josh online yesterday!! ALWAYS A PLEASURE :) I also got to talk to him today! He got to see Kinsley & I on the webcam, wish we could've seen him, that'd be sooo nice. We will see him in around TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

The housing lady with 801 (the kind of housing we lived in last time) called me this morning and basically promised me a house for when I get out there September 1. Which is a HUGEEE weight off my shoulders!
Josh also gave me some fabuuuulous news. We've got a new reenlisting plan and it's my favorite yet! Probably because I came up with it. His end of active service in the Marines ends Aug 20,2010 but he can reenlist up to a year before it so that's what he was going to do. Then he decided he wanted to extend his contract one year and deploy with the Marines he's trained then while he's in Afghan he'd reenlist (they like to reenlist in Iraq/Afghan bc the bonus they get is TAX FREE!) I asked him why couldn't he just reenlist right before his contracts up next summer, that way he wouldn't have to deploy with LAR in the fall like planned. And we could ALSO move somewhere prettier/better than smothering, boring Twentynine Palms, CA! He said that's what he wants to do and he said he promises this is the plan now. He'll reenlist next summer as a huey (attack hellicopter crewchief) and since he wont be Infantry anymore he's got to go to a huey school in Pensecola, Florida. Which will be next summer time. I'm thrilled of this idea because it not only promises he won't deploy next fall, but we'll get to move AS A FAMILY to somewhere new! We can't promise it'll be closer to home tho, unfortunately. He said it could be San Diego or Texas or basically who knows where. I'll just be happy that the next time we move, it'll be Josh with us :)

Another exciting thing (especially to him) he told me about is the Marine Corps Ball. It's supposidly going to be December 15 and I think that's all him and his buddies out there talk/dream about. He has every little detail planned out. It's either going to be in Las Vegas or Laughlin (I think thats on lake/river Havasu). He's so excited though, he said this is a trip for just me and him to spend together after his 'horrible deployment'. Of course all I'm concerned about is where would our babies go but since Jacob and Elizabeth live so close to us we're thinking of asking them to come with us and stay in the hotel while we go! So that way I'm not away from my precious newborn baby for too long. I don't think he realizes what a big deal it's going to be, leaving a newborn with someone! I'm not gonna burst his bubble though, he's very excited about this Ball. I don't like that they're having it so close to Christmas! We aren't going to be able to come home for Christmas AND go to the Ball, and right now I think he's choosing Ball! Which is fine with me, I think it'd be fun spending our first christmas together at our little home!
Kinsley's watching Dora, of course... We sleep in the same room and I don't want to go to bed as early as I want HER to go to bed so unfortunately I've allowed her to watch Dora and fall asleep the past night. There's several reasons why I don't wanna leave her alone in here by herself to fall asleep. So, I'll let this slide for the next month, then when we're in California she'll have her own room and bed and we'll go back to her falling asleep on her own. It'll be hard at first but we'll get through it!
That's it for now. I go to the doctor next week, pray that my 'medical condition' has fixed itself, please!!
Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Chynna

Josh's papa hung me a wire to hang my clothes :)

That's Dora, OF COURSE. ANd that's KInsley's wire!

THANKS FOR HELPING ME MOVE xoxoxox

Sunday afternoon

Hello hello...

6 days from today we'll be moving OUT!!! I do not feel prepared at all. Probably b/c there's stuff everywhere still. My room & Kinsley's room are kinda ready 100%.. I've really got to get packing, but I don't have any boxes and since my 'medical condition' I can't lift things so I can't scoot the boxes out of my way. So I have to wait til Mama gets home from work to help me. It's ridiculous! I wish I was going to the dr this week instead of 2 more weeks! I've gotta hurry with this cause church is at 5...

I'll update hopefully before we move out, if not, I'll have my laptop at Granny & Papa's to update later on. I'm glad Preslee's going to babysit for me the week after we move out, so that I can have a break from packing & moving & babysitting! Plus, she'll have some money to buy back-to-school clothes. Win-win situation :)

I don't remember if I wrote last time that Josh called me Wednesday morning??? Anyway, he did. :) He said that some guy had been threatening suicide so he had to get off the phone so he could call home.. :( So scary...... But before all that he said he shaved his head so now the sun burnt it really bad so he's in pain. And he said he weighs like 90lbs. The sad thing is, he probably weighs close to it!!! He went out there weighing maybe 165 so it'll be weird to see how much weight he's lost. He gave me dates for the first week in October to be back in 29 Palms. So I don't know if it'll change & they'll come back at the end of Sept. or beginning of Oct. I'm just praying that whenever it is, I'll have the house all ready. He's REALLY hinting around that he wants the house to be ready for when he gets back. Can you blame him!?

Gotta run,
Chynna

Daydreaming of Homecoming!

Hey there blog-world.........

A fellow Marine wife informed me yesterday her husband (who left for Iraq the same day Josh did) said to be on Victory Field (the field the guys reunite with their families on base) September 2?,2009!!!! I put a question mark because we're not suppose/allowed to give out specific dates, just for the safety of our men. That doesn't necessarily mean Josh will come home on that same day unfortunately BUT he shouldn't be too far behind them!!!!! :) :) I wish they all came back on the same day, but whats a few more days, right. I'm really hoping all this is true/accurate. I won't get to talk to Josh til August 1st. If I talk to him before, I'll be lucky! Cause they've got that emergency phone out there that they let them use sometimes. So if he's got it, he'll call me before then! Last night I made Josh a HOMECOMING SIGN on www.buildasign.com/troops it's FREE I just paid S&H! :) I'll post a picture!

I'm moving out of here July 25th.. (1 week,4 days) Haven't got much packing done, AT ALL. Can't find boxes. I'm off tomorrow so hopefully I'll rack up on some!

I go to the doctor 3 weeks from today..

(Please pray for us!)

And we leave Alabama 7 weeks today.

Thinking that Josh could be back in 10 weeks is freaking me out. Considering we fly back in 7, 10 just doesn't seem long enough to give me to get the house settled! But I guess if we weren't moved in at least he'd be there to help me unpack, right!? I just really wanted to have the house ALL READY for him so he wouldn't have to WORK after 7 months in IRAQ!!!

More later.......

BIG DAY in my little life.

Hey There!!!

Today was a big stepping stone! First thing today I sent off the letter to the landlord explaining our situation & that we'd be out by the end of the month. I then called World Moving Services to make the deposit on the move to California, including the Jeep. So that's taken care of, and a really big deal, because it means it's really happening WE'RE GOING BACK! Not to mention I bought mine & Kinsley's plane tickets to San Diego for September 1st!! So, a lot was done today. It makes me very VERY nervous because I don't want anything to mess up! Such as, the landlord calling me & trying to give me a hard time about breaking the lease. Which he shouldn't, because I gave him a copy of the SCRA (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) that states military members are to be released without penalty of their leases when due to being stationed elsewhere. Hopefully he won't make it a big deal, but I'll pray he doesn't! Another thing I'm worried about is the cost of the move. If it ends up being as much as the man told me it'd be, we're good, we've got JUST ENOUGH and nothing more. But if they end up coming and it weighs more than he estimated (which I really really don't think it will) we'd owe more money, and where would we get the more money from?! I'm on the edge of my seat, worrying.

So yes, I bought our tickets coming into San Diego where Jacob & Elizabeth live. We will stay with them until 29 Palms Housing people call me with a house. I requested to have a house by September 1st but I know that doesn't guarantee us a house on that date so anytime after that will be fine. Just hope we don't wear out our welcome at The Green's house :)

I spoke to Josh on the phone yesterday AND today, WHAT A TREAT! :) He told me some dates they'd be coming back from the field (they leave tomorrow morning) and when to expect a call. I can't wait! I go to the dr for my ultrasound on August 4 and my OB appt the next day to hopefully hear some GOOD NEWS about the previa!! Pray for us, please! I can feel her kicking around right now, always a good sign, right? Josh said she's working on moving the placenta up, ha-ha....

Well, I guess that's all for my big day! I'm very excited, but at the same time VERY SAD. I love being home and LOVE MY CHURCH! I will miss it and everyone so much! I just can't seem to have it all at once. But one day we'll be all together again. I just hate seeing my family and friends so sad to watch us go. But like I have said before, I've gotta go get ready for my man! :)

I can't wait! I am SO BLESSED & Love God so much! Without Him I'd be nothing!

Love,

Chynna.

Back from the Beach

We decided to leave on Sunday instead of Monday so we could have time to see Andrea & the girls and get back a good bit before Whitney headed to class. It was so beautiful in Florida, perfect weather! Hot, but the wind blew all day long. The only bad things about the trip was the insane TRAFFIC & there were drunk people surrounding us and didn't care that we had two little girls. People are ignorant and selfish! And Whitney would complain about the layout of the hotel, there was no elevator so she had to unload and load the car with all our stuff going up TWO flights of stairs. Bless her heart, THANKS WHITNEY! ;) You're the best! I heard from Josh today (just online though) and he's doing much better since they left what I call 'nowhere land' and are around civilization and food besides MRE's. He will get to buy a phone card tomorrow and call me!! Can't wait. I'm so proud of him, I could cry pregnant tears. ;) I'm trying to take it easy, but it really bothers me that I can't pick Kinsley up. It really effects my every day life & I'm still not use to it. I thought today I would go to the grocery store (with Kinsley) to get things for Josh then go to Granny's and Mama reminded me that I couldn't go alone. I completely forgot. So she's going to go with me in a little while when her and Val get back from the police department.
Here's some beach pictures. I took an excessive amount, but can you blame me? I never get out! And I love pictures.........
Lots of LOVE!

IT'S A GIRL! :)

Shocking, I know! This will make lucky number 7 girl grandbaby for my parents! I'm thrilled, girls never get boring to me! :) Hopefully this little booger will come out lookin like her MAMA! I love Josh & Kinsley's beautiful faces but I'm selfish and want to see a mini-ME. For the record, Kinsley went pee-pee in the potty for the FIRST time this past Saturday! It's a big step, she's sat on the toilet countless times but never actually gone! I'm proud to say the least!! Oh and Josh got to call me yesterday evening, so I got to tell him we're having another princess! He's really excited, he loves his girls. He loves having us girls to spoil :)

On to a more serious note, I went to the doctor today and was told that after looking at my ultrasound pictures, my placenta is dangerously low. It's called "placenta previa". So they scheduled me with another ultrasound in 4 weeks, til then I'm not allowed to lift! How on earth does a mama with a 2 year old not lift!??! I feel so pathetic, I don't like asking for help!! Not when it comes to picking up my child, I don't. It could turn into a very serious condition that I could be put on bed rest and even have to deliver c-section. And she said the words "could lose the baby and your life". That was a wake up call, I took for granted last pregnancy everything was perfectly fine and delivered a perfect healthy baby girl. So, please pray for us!

Anyway, mama made me call the doctor to ask if it was okay that I was traveling to Florida, she said yes just as long as I make frequent stops to walk around. Prevent those blood clots in your legs. So I'm glad she gave me the clear go.. And it made Mama feel better about it,too... Alright soo, We leave for the beach in the morning! Whitney said around 10. Can't wait. I'm super tired right now, and still haven't packed a thing. Guess I'll just get up early and pack... Man, I am SUCH a procrastinator!!!!!!!! Thanks Pops! ;) :)

Much Love!!!
