Enjoying Summer Weather (Finally)

The weather here in Oceanside usually is around 70. Barely! And if you go to the beach it's usually windy which makes it actually pretty chilly! But this week God has blessed us with some summer weather, even though it's technically Fall. We're taking advantage of it while we can because I know soon I'll be wishing we could go play at the beach but it'll be too chilly. This year will be a new kind of winter for us since I've heard it doesn't get super cold. In Twentynine Palms it wasn't absolutely freezing but you definitely needed a jacket! I'm curious to see if what I heard is correct! If so, that's fine with me, I don't like needing to wear gloves and two pairs of socks to survive anyway. Monday was a billion degrees and I was miserable. Well it was really like 100 degrees but that's close to a billion. We finally got to go to the POOL!! But my word that water was ICE COLD!! Even with it being so hot the water still gave me chill bumps. Kinsley of course LOVED it and that made me happy! Then today Daddy left us his "card" so we decided to buy a beach umbrella! We did have one but it broke. So Josh & I both agreed we may as well get a nice one since, hello, we doooo live at the beach so it'll definitely get used!! We went to a couple souvenir shops downtown to look for the perfect umbrella (might I add they were super cute shops & I will definitely be shopping down there more often!) but only found flimsy, cheap ones. Decided Wal Mart should have them, they have everything, right?? Wrrrrong! Of course they were out of them. I guess I AM shopping for them out of season but come on, it's Oceanside, California, you should keep them in stock!! Oh well, off to Bed Bath & Beyond and we found a winner!! It's sturdy and awesome! Came with two cup holders (so you won't get SAND all over your drinks) and two hooks to hang stuff on it (once again so you won't get sand on your things!) yayyy!! It's awesome. We tested it out at the beach today! Megan & Eli joined us so, as usual, we all had a great time! Tomorrow's my dr's appointment then I am going grocery shopping, woooo hooo!! I love having the house stocked with food and drinks! :) Then Friday I believe we're taking the kids to Kidsville at the mall then I've got an eye appointment, ugh. I really wish I weren't blind. Contacts are SO annoying and SO expensive! Oh and good news! Well, potentially good, my friend who has a 5 month old son is most likely getting a job around here and has asked me to watch him for her while she works!! I would love to be able to make a little extra cash and help a friend out at the same time. Oh and get to stay home! Blessing all the way around! Anyway, have a great week/end everybody! :)

Lots of loveeee

I am really falling out of my blogging loop, and it's mainly because I moved the computer upstairs and I'm hardly up here so I'm  rarely on the computer. I have the internet on my phone so thats basically the only internet use I have!
The weeks have been starting to drag with Josh not coming home! So this week I finally hung out with some friends and had a lot of fun and made time pass quickly! This Thursday is my doctor's appt to get my mole removed so hopefully that goes ok and the biopsy too. Here's pictures from the last week!

Enjoy!

Mommy's Check up at the Doctor

I can't even remember the last time I went to the doctor that wasn't related to pregnancy or postpartum, until now at least. I've been looking into other birth controls because my IUD is giving me a few problems. I'll spare the details on that one. I was told by the lady at the Naval Hospital I had to make an appointment with a Family Doctor before they'd let me see an OBGYN, hence why I made myself a dr's appointment! So of course I had to take the girls with me, which was fine, I didn't think it was going to be a big deal, just wanted to get referred to an OBGYN and ask her to prescribe me some acid reflux medication! Well it turned out that my doctor, Dr. Dolgonos, could actually remove the IUD herself without me having to go see an OBGYN, which was GREAT because that would have meant making a dr's appointment all over again. So the nurse left the room to let me undress & I had to shove Abri's stroller in the only corner there was, and made Kinsley sit down in the chair. I saw the "napkin" blanket thing on the table and just kind of covered myself with it like a blanket, I knew it looked funny cause there were slits in it but I didn't realize what for (the girls were so distracting). The doctor walked in and told me it was actually a gown and I could put my arms through the holes, OH! I am so dumb. Embarrassing!! Whatever. Maybe I would have heard the nurse tell me that earlier but I couldn't hear over my two girls yelling!!!! While she put the stethoscope on my back she noticed the moles and told me "I don't like the way this one looks, I want to remove it and have a biopsy, I don't think it's cancer, yet." THAT came out of nowhere!!!?! She asked had I noticed it before and I was like, well, it's on my back, I can't really see back there! Not to mention its like almost in the middle of my back. Guess I need to examine myself often but who ever thinks about doing that?! I'm new at this anyway. I'm use to going to the doctor to pee in a cup & see an ultrasound and leaving with no complications! So after talking about my removal & biopsy & acid reflux medicine it was time to remove the IUD, well, Abs was off to the right of me, and I'm laying back and she's laughing at me, then sees my "napkin dress" and starts tugging on it! HARD. Can't believe she didn't tear it off! I had to pry it from her fingers several times (ALL WHILE HAVING THE DOCTOR BE UP IN MY BUSINESS REMOVING A BIRTH CONTROL!!!!!!! Maybe I DON'T want this thing taken out!) Talk about a nightmare!! It's funny now but at the moment it wasn't so hilarious. All is well now & hopefully continues to stay that way!

Yesterday I (finally) cleaned and more importantly, organized the upstairs!! Why did it take me HOURS just to do OUR bedroom!? I added some curtains to the one we already had (and it looks SO MUCH BETTER!) I moved our dresser to infront of our bed (instead of to the left of the bed) and it looks great too BUT now the left side of the room is SO plain, so I hung up a colloge picture frame, which took forever because I used his drill to drill screws in and it was lop sided, maybe that's what took so long! Turns out its way off centered to the wall so I gave up, we want a huge painting or mirror on that wall anyway. I was just trying to make it look good for when he comes home but I can't do much when we don't have anything to hang up! On the other wall I hung up the little brown shelf that was Mama's from a hundred years ago. It looks really good!!! I organized and hung up ALL of our clean clothes (FINALLY) in our huge closet and vacuumed and also cleaned our bathroom!! It looks so good I can't wait for Josh to see it. I cleaned both the girls rooms and vacuumed, didn't touch their bathroom tho, it's still clean from the last time I cleaned it. Rarely use that bathroom besides for baths anyway. In Kinsley's play closet downstairs was a disaster from last week when we had company so I cleaned it up and decided to decorate it a little so she'd like it even more! She walked in and said "WOWWWW!!! Mommy it's so pretty!!!" :) I was so beat after cleaning yet the kitchen was a disaster so I just sucked it up and cleaned the kitchen before bed. I got to talk to Josh about his day late last night and he had to let me go cause he was tired and needed to get in his truck TO SLEEP! That's just sad but I guess it doesn't bother him. He's not complaining about work being physically exhausting (yet) so that's amazing. He's just hungry because he never has time to eat because he's literally with all those Marines from the minute they wake up to the minute they go to sleep. I asked why he couldnt eat lunch when they do and he said he tries but he's always got to get onto someone for something and he only gives them like 15 minutes to eat! YIKES. Bless his heart. He's so strong.

This is ridiculously long so, bless your heart if you read it!

Goodbye Verizon, Hello AT&T!

Happy Labor Day, by the way!

Never thought we'd leave Verizon but sadly, the day has come! Verizon had the best service and customer service was pretty decent as well! But unfortunately, Josh didn't get service where he works now, but his buddies with AT&T did... So, we decided to switch. He works long hours and doesn't even come home during the week, so cell phone coverage is very important to us! It's not all bad though, we got the handy dandy iPhone, It's ridiculous how many nice, expensive things I have now! I am so richly blessed in all ways. Josh had to leave to go back to work yesterday, so he didn't even get the whole Labor Day 96 (hours) as they call it. We plan on going to Santee today to Jacob & Elizabeth's house since they are grilling out, that way we don't have to be stuck in the house the whole day! But the girls are sick, just with congestion, Abrielle is really bad (or maybe it just seems bad because she's so little) so I am trying to get her better, she's taking a nap right now and if she's okay enough, we'll go to their house! I meant to mention in yesterdays post that Abrielle Alyse weights 18lbs and is 28 inches long. She's growing into a healthy little lady! Once again, I'm so blessed!

Well, I just wanted to write while I had a minute. Guess that's it! Thaaanks for reading!

Love;;

This is a video from last week while we were at the beach. She had two little boys (3 and 4 yrs old) come up to her and try to play but she of course, wasn't talking! But at least she kept playing and didn't run away.... Baby Steps........

Well Lookie There, It's Football Season!

Tis' the season for college football, Apparently.. We had a great week even though Josh wasn't apart of it very much since he started work. So Monday, I dropped off the in-laws to LAX & right after, stopped for lunch at Jack in The Box. I took the girls in so we could stretch before being in the car for another hour and a half. When we got in line there was this cute little asian woman who immediately asked me how old Abrielle was and told me I had adorable daughters! Well, after we sat down & ate our lunch, little miss A needed to eat her some sweet potatoes (and I have to mix in the rice cereal, which is flakey and light as air) I ended up getting the flakeyness everywhere because its just so messy, but I didn't stress (even though I was alone at this restuarant right outside of the ghetto in Los Angeles & there was this scary woman at the counter asking the cashier for a payphone because her "car broke down" yet kept jabbering words you couldn't understand.....and yes she spoke english!) and of course Abri was fussy while eating (of course!) so the bright orange food was smeared all over her cheeks and in her nose. After she was finnished, that same old asian woman from before came up to me and told me that I was a wonderful mother!!! She had been watching me feed her the whole time and I didnt even know it. It was really sweet to hear those special words from a complete stranger! It made my day!

Okay so anyway, Thursday was suppose to be my Mary Kay party/ Girls lunch at the house. Well it ended up being a lunch only because my nephew is sick with a double ear infection! Therefore Elizabeth couldn't come do the Mary kay stuff, I was sad cause I wanted to see Gunner PLUS wanted to finally see what all Mary Kay has to offer! Oh well. I ended up having like 9 girls show up plus a 4 kids, so we had a great time getting to know each other. I think we've even decided to do a monthly lunch together! I am really excited & thankful that I am making a lot of friends out here.

Yesterday was Abrielle's doctor appointment. I was nervous before we got there since it's a new doctor & not on base. But the ladies at the counter were SUPER friendly & nice, the nurse was great & I liked the doctor a lot too! But best of all, the room was decorated in Finding Nemo!! Talk about Kinsley's heaven! Haha, she was loving it. I wish all pediatric dr offices were like that, it makes it so much more inviting to children and helps them relax. Plus, they even had books and toy cars to play with! It was a big weight lifted from my shoulders because having a good doctor for them means so much to me.

Josh has been at work since early Tuesday morning (so technically I havent' seen him since Monday) and he doesn't have service where he works so he can't call or text me throughout the day but at night where he sleeps he's got a little reception so he called me 2 or 3 times in all. He ended up coming home Friday night around 830 which was so exciting since we hadn't seen him all week and Kinsley kept asking everyday where he was! I can't imagine how awful it'd be if he were deployed and I'd have to answer it everyday for 7 months, that'd be so hard on both of us. Anyway, we're looking into cancelling Verizon service since his buddies with AT&T get service there..... Who knows though! He has to return to work today (Sunday) which stinks because its Labor Day wkend and everyone else is off, but the Marines he's training "don't rate" the time off, so neither can the instructors :( It's not us I'm worried about either, it's him because he's sick. And guess what!? He's passed it on to Kinsley & Abrielle!!!! Ahhhh!!! We've got one humidifier but we need another one for Kinsley's room! Please pray they feel better soon. I woke up last night with a killer stomachache so this morning my stomachs still super sensitive so I'm afraid to eat! I go to the DR on Tuesday and I'm gonna ask them to prescribe me some acid reflux medicine so that I can take it everyday. Mommies can't afford to be SICK, Ever!!!

Thanks for reading my ridiculously long post! Guess this is why I should update every day and not once a week, huh?

XOXO
