Finally a calm moment!

Whew!!
I feel like I've been going 90 to nothing for the past WEEK!! Andrea, Lily, and Mollie got in Athens on Friday at lunch, then my friends gave me a baby shower that night. Saturday, Andrea helped me pack up ALL of our stuff at Granny & Papa's, which took a lot of energy out of me, especially since it was so hot in that room. Then we ordered Dominos that night and watched 17 Again. Sunday, Papa got in so we went to church then straight to Nanny's house for lunch with a lot of Papa's side of the family! No naps for anyone that day, church again, then bedtime!! Monday morning we all went to eat at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, then came back, took naps, then it was time for Mia's birthday party!! Another late night! Tuesday we got to sleep in a little cause Andrea took her girls and Mia to Grandaddy & Marcia's. Then I had to hurry & go through a bazillion baby outfits 0-6 months before Andrea wanted to leave at lunchtime!! Said bye to them, Papa took all our new baby stuff/our clothes to the storage, then had to tell him bye that night! :(

Yesterday (Wed) I had my dr's appt where I had to drink that glucose drink before my appointment, gross. I took Kinsley to Whitney's work so she could hang out there while I went, afterwards we met Lizzy for lunch at ChickFilA.. Naptime, then Mama wanted to take us to Cracker Barrel before church!! WHEW!! I'm worn out just typing it!

And can't forget TODAY!! Chaos, because I had an eye appt at 940am but had nobody to watch the girls while I went. So I called dr @ 8am and of course they had no other appt time available! So I just took Kinsley with me and Mia went to work with her mommy. They fixed my glasses, that have been broken for, I'm not kidding, almost a year! I just needed a screw to put one side back on. (I've been keeping them together with tape or a bandaid these past months!) She tightened them for me and everything. It's awesome its like I have new glasses! She dialated my eyes with this terrible BURNING eye drop stuff! It felt like (I would think) Pepper spray feels like! ahhh!! 15 minutes later you couldnt tell if where my eye color started and pupil ended, I looked like our cat Natalie when she'd get really serious...... We have the same color eyes. :) Anywho, that's not my whole story!! Since she fixed my glasses I was wearing them, and I guess they assumed I came in with my glasses so they didn't remind me to get my contacts before I left (also, every other time I've been to an eye doc they give me trial ones right away and throw my others away.. not this time tho) So the lady behind the desk handed me this UV protection glasses that you put behind your glasses so when you go outside you can actually see. I looked like a total nerd! Not to mention, my glasses arent the right prescription AND just add in the fact that it had been raining, so the roads are slick and everythings really blurry to me. I looked ridiculous and drove like an old lady. But we got Mia safely and home to Whitney's safely too! Thank you Lord for watching over us! :)

I have SOOOOOOOOOO many pictures from this past week it's ridiculous..... I'll probably just add the FEW *very few* I edited, I've been so busy lately I've not had time to edit!

Quick Update

I'm basically updating just to post my pictures from the baby shower Tuesday night!
Lots of cute stuff, lots of fun! And ooh, lots of good food too :)
We're excited about Lily & Mollie coming to visit tomorrow! I keep reminding the girls & they get excited.. Andrea, we're excited about you too! :)

OH!!!
Yesterday I got the best phone call you can hope for while your Marine is off at war... It was from the Family Readiness Officer, and she gave us dates of when to expect our Marine in Twentynine Palms! Of course I can't disclose the dates in here online because there's terrorist out there creeping online looking for these dates!! But it's THE BEST FEELING knowing that they've got their plane BOOKED to COME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled!! I haven't heard from Josh in ALMOST two whole weeks :( I wonder how long this is going to last! Honestly though, time's been going by really fast. And it can keep going fast, all the way until his homecoming!

The Time Traveler's Wife

Oh man,
I just had to dedicate my title to that because I went to see it last night, and it's seriously the best movie I've seen in a long time. I don't think I've ever watched a movie in my LIFE that has made me seriously CRY. I can easily tear up in several movies but to actually cry and have to take a breath inbetween tears, wow. Of course you're thinking it's because I'm pregnant but my friends surrounding me were JUST as bad as I was! Makenze was worse, actually. :) It was really good and I recommend you to go see it! I want to see it again, IN THEATER, and I can't say that about any other movie!

But anyway, this weekend was a lot of fun. Friday [Josh's] Papa grilled out chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, and steak and then had a bonfire afterward! Saturday his Papa made chicken stew for everyone, then that night me, Kinsley, Preslee, Mama, Whitney, & Mia went to Bridge Street. We ate at Red Robin, then let the girls watch the water.. Mia got too close, she couldn't help herself!! She loved it. I didn't really have to worry about Kinsley getting wet because she's afraid of the water that shoots up from the ground. Lucky me. :) I wanted to shop for jewelry, but my stomach is in so much pain, it's like this little girl inside me is 10 lbs and is leaning on one side! It hurts really bad to walk most days. And today, I'm experiencing LOVELY shortness of breath. I read online (my other Dr) that it's completely normal. OF COURSE IT IS!!!!! Every ache and pain in pregnancy is normal! It's not normal if it hurts to inhale though. But it's not hurting. It just feels like I'm obese and can't get a good breath. I feel bad for obese people now, they really don't know how easy they could have it! Just breathing correctly could make them a happier person! And my legs, feet, arms, and hands fall asleep if I leave them in any kind of position too long. So it's like I have ADD and can't sit still. Then I'm not breathing right so I look like I'm in an invisible pool coming to the surface everytime I try to take a huge breath!! I must look so silly....

Oh!! So tonight is my baby shower! Jasmine [my sister in law] has kindly offered to host me one at her house. I'm soooo excited, who doesn't love baby stuff?!?! I'm really thinking that I like the name Abriella. I just can't come up with a middle name. I think Josh will like the first name though. And she could have different nicknames like Abby, Bri, and Ella! I think it's cute. I'd probably want to call her Ella for short. Not for sure tho. I also like Brynlie. To me Abriella is just so cute and girly, that's why I'm leaning towards it!!

Andrea, Lily, & Mollie will be here around lunch Friday (Lord willing) and Papa Bear will be here Sunday!!!!!! Then Monday we'll have Mia's bday party at Chuck-E-Cheese (extra excited because I love their pizza) So it's just gonna be a great week/weekend!
Anywho, it's very difficult for me to sit here and type this because I have all these problems going on so I must go now, I'll add pics too!

Hey my little readers, whoever you may be..........

First off I'd just like to say, Excuse me if I sounded 'rude' in my last blog, that last part. Sorry if I over express myself, but you've got to keep in mind that not only are you reading a pregnant woman's words, but my HUSBAND and daughter's FATHER is in Iraq, off at WAR. So if I'm a little stressed here and there, don't think I'm always that 'rude'. [But, Andrea, I think you're the only one who reads this anyway, so you understand completely, I'm sure.]

Okay, moving on to other things!

The day I went to get my ultrasound, I had lunch with Blake, Kristal, & Ashley. Then we went to see "My Sister's Keeper" (really good, by the way!) So the pictures at the bottom are of us in the movie theater! Blake will make a really good husband, and daddy one day. If he's ever ready. :) No, I'm kidding, I'm proud he's not in a rush! Kristal & Ashley are sweet girls, as usual. That pizza we ate at Mellow Mushroom was deeeeelicious! I want some now, actually.

This morning has been great! Whitney bought Mia this super neat bubblegum machine that you put a penny in to get a piece. We're using it to encourage them to go potty. So far, Kinsley and Mia both have gone once! They'd do anything for bubblegum, so I'm hoping they'll stay interested, because they really need to be potty trained, haha! Whitney found Mia a school to start once we go back to California! I'm so glad that Whitney liked the lady and the kids and the location of it all. God takes care of us!

Haven't heard from Josh since Saturday, because a few hours later they were leaving for 'the field'. A Marine wife called me last night to let me know they tore down the internet/phone centers closest to our Marines. So, who really knows when I'll hear from Josh again. I hope he'll get to be on a base with phones sooner than later. If not, it's okay, I've handled it before! Besides, we're leaving for CA in less than 3 weeks now, so time's gonna start flying & he will be safe & sound at home REALLY SOON!!

I just got a quick phone call from my Daddy! Trying to figure out when I'm leaving for CA. I'm praying he and Andrea both will get to come up before we leave.. Because, Josh has told me more than once that we're not going home for Christmas, so who KNOWS when we'll get to come home next?!!? :(

I guess this is it for now. Oh, today I'm 26 weeks pregnant exactly! Wooo hoo, getting fatter everyday ;)

Well! Great, wonderful, spectacular news! I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultrasound (mostly to look at my placenta to see if it had moved up) and was seen by the doctor today and given the results, "the placenta looks GREAT!". My first question was, "can it come back, or mess up again?" and she said "no, once its moved up it stays there" wa-hoooooo! :) It's such a relief! First of all, I get to PICK UP MY KINSLEY!!!!!!! And this means I can fly out to California alone no problem (I can pick Kinsley up and pick up bags) and when we get our house I'll be able to move boxes if needed. This is just a huge load of my shoulders and I owe it all to God for making it possible!! Thanks for the prayers, also!

OH! So I got home to Granny's and ran to pick up Kinsley (haven't been able to do that in a LOOONNGG 5 weeks) and she wrapped her little arms around my neck and just held on SO tight and then looked at me and said, 'maaa-maaa!!' like I was the most wonderful thing she had ever seen! She made me feel soo special I love her so much!! Now when she says "Mama, I hold you" I can PICK HER UP!! Thank you, Lord!

Josh got to call me yesterday after my dr's appt to check on me but since I didnt have the results I didnt get to tell him! I'm hoping to hear from him soon so I can tell him so he won't worry anymore. He said it's sooooo hot there (yeah I can only imagine, I think its miserable here!!) and I said well other than that are you okay? He said Yeah he's just ready to come home.. :'( That made me sad to hear him say that! I can't imagine how bad he truly wants to be home, ugh I can't IMAGINE!! So of course I asked him was he still sticking to the plan (reenlist now and become a SOI Instructor) and he said Yes. So that's just another thing to be so incredibly grateful for! He also said the Marine Corps Ball has been booked for The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas for December 16. So that's neat that we'll get to go this year (Lord willing)

Well I think that's all for now....

Besides the fact I'm SICK AND TIRED of walking on EGG SHELLS around certain people, I don't have anything to complain about!
