Well, we're all moved out of the apartment, all is in storage except our clothes. First night at Granny & Papa's was Saturday! We got up early so we could go by McDonald's for a quick biscuit and chocolate milk :) Granny would've had us breakfast fixed but she had to go to the ER because her back was in so much pain. Turns out she strained something so she had to get a shot and she slept all day yesterday! I'm glad she's feeling better today. I got to talk to Josh online yesterday!! ALWAYS A PLEASURE :) I also got to talk to him today! He got to see Kinsley & I on the webcam, wish we could've seen him, that'd be sooo nice. We will see him in around TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
The housing lady with 801 (the kind of housing we lived in last time) called me this morning and basically promised me a house for when I get out there September 1. Which is a HUGEEE weight off my shoulders!
Josh also gave me some fabuuuulous news. We've got a new reenlisting plan and it's my favorite yet! Probably because I came up with it. His end of active service in the Marines ends Aug 20,2010 but he can reenlist up to a year before it so that's what he was going to do. Then he decided he wanted to extend his contract one year and deploy with the Marines he's trained then while he's in Afghan he'd reenlist (they like to reenlist in Iraq/Afghan bc the bonus they get is TAX FREE!) I asked him why couldn't he just reenlist right before his contracts up next summer, that way he wouldn't have to deploy with LAR in the fall like planned. And we could ALSO move somewhere prettier/better than smothering, boring Twentynine Palms, CA! He said that's what he wants to do and he said he promises this is the plan now. He'll reenlist next summer as a huey (attack hellicopter crewchief) and since he wont be Infantry anymore he's got to go to a huey school in Pensecola, Florida. Which will be next summer time. I'm thrilled of this idea because it not only promises he won't deploy next fall, but we'll get to move AS A FAMILY to somewhere new! We can't promise it'll be closer to home tho, unfortunately. He said it could be San Diego or Texas or basically who knows where. I'll just be happy that the next time we move, it'll be Josh with us :)
Another exciting thing (especially to him) he told me about is the Marine Corps Ball. It's supposidly going to be December 15 and I think that's all him and his buddies out there talk/dream about. He has every little detail planned out. It's either going to be in Las Vegas or Laughlin (I think thats on lake/river Havasu). He's so excited though, he said this is a trip for just me and him to spend together after his 'horrible deployment'. Of course all I'm concerned about is where would our babies go but since Jacob and Elizabeth live so close to us we're thinking of asking them to come with us and stay in the hotel while we go! So that way I'm not away from my precious newborn baby for too long. I don't think he realizes what a big deal it's going to be, leaving a newborn with someone! I'm not gonna burst his bubble though, he's very excited about this Ball. I don't like that they're having it so close to Christmas! We aren't going to be able to come home for Christmas AND go to the Ball, and right now I think he's choosing Ball! Which is fine with me, I think it'd be fun spending our first christmas together at our little home!
Kinsley's watching Dora, of course... We sleep in the same room and I don't want to go to bed as early as I want HER to go to bed so unfortunately I've allowed her to watch Dora and fall asleep the past night. There's several reasons why I don't wanna leave her alone in here by herself to fall asleep. So, I'll let this slide for the next month, then when we're in California she'll have her own room and bed and we'll go back to her falling asleep on her own. It'll be hard at first but we'll get through it!
That's it for now. I go to the doctor next week, pray that my 'medical condition' has fixed itself, please!!
Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Chynna
