I wanted so badly to hang out w/ my Marine wives on either of my 2 days off but I just didn't find the time! I AM SO STINKIN' BUSY!!! Next Monday though, I will!!! Yesterday I had my dr's appt, all is well, no cancer, but still precancerous so I just will have to wear SPF 35+ and keep a very close eye on myself (just add that onto being a mother, wife, and going to school full time) and go back in September for a yearly skin test. I'm thankful I'm in the clear and can focus 100% on school again. It had me worried just a tad, so now I don't have to wonder anymore! After my appt we went grocery shopping and then our Preacher & an Elder came over to visit around 2, Josh was home by 5 and we took the girls to Chuck E Cheese's and had a great time! It was soooo nice getting to take the girls together. It feels like we never get to hang out as a family anymore, guess that's what our year is going to be like though! This morning we rushed to get ready and make it to the Coaster on time. I've been wanting to take mama, Preslee & the girls downtown San Diego to show them my school & everything around it. So today was a good opportunity so we took it! It was SO BEAUTIFUL (as usual, haha) outside!! Perfect weather for sightseeing. We had the 2 umbrella strollers with us so that was helpful so Kinsley didn't have to walk a single bit. We ended up taking the Coaster to Old Town, also. I've never been there so it was cool to see it. It was a bunch of old shops and several museum type stores. I'll post pictures so you can better understand it! It's almost 7pm and I have to get the girls a bath & in the bed and myself in bed too for school tomorrow. Long, busy days ahead of me so I've gotta go JUST wanted to update!

2nd week of Cosmetology :)
So I made it through week 2 of Cosmetology School! Very exciting. It's still so fresh & new and exciting for me, so I've not struggled yet to get out of bed in the early mornings. Maybe that's not entirely true, but for the most part I've woken up nicely.. Probably mentioned last blog that we learn SO much in ONE single day but I'd just like to repeat that!!! This week we learned perms, thermal press/curls, hair relaxers, and how to properly use our smoothing irons & this curling iron called 'marcel iron', which makes pretty spiral curls. In fact, I used it on my hair Saturday before school and it took me an hour to do my whole head. Definitely won't be using that anymore.. I'm not one to spend much time on my hair!! If I had short hair I would use that a lot, but I absolutely prefer longer hair on me. I drove myself & Jennay to school eveyday this week, but since gas prices are around $3.50per gallon, it added up quickly in my Jeep PLUS it's $7 a day to park. Which is so outrageous, but I guess that's why they say it's expensive to live in San Diego! We're going to take the Coaster next week and just go back to walking about 15 minutes to school. It's not a bad walk at all when you've got girls walking with you, and the nice weather helps. Either way you look at it, getting to school is EXPENSIVE. Totally stinks, but I am really, REALLY enjoying school so I'm not going to let this get in the way! Next week we are learning how to COLOR!!!!! I am really excited!! Then the week after that, we learn how to CUT!!! Doesn't this seem like it's going a bit fast?!?! I love it, though. Then 2 weeks after that we are done with Core and moving on to our next class. I have a feeling this year is going to fly by. Excited to see where this opportunity takes me and my family! Speaking of family- Josh is off work tomorrow and luckily it's my day off also, so we are thinking about going fishing on the pier as a lil fam. Mama has expressed to me about her 'concern' for Kinsley because she's apparently been being a little rough with Abrielle and even bit her toes the other day & made them bleed! That's so not like her, but with all the new changes going around I"m not surprised she's acting out. Kinsley said she bit her because Abri was kicking her.. Of course I got onto her and she promised she would never bite her again (she had tears welling up in her eyes as she said "mama, I bit abby, mama, i'm so sorry") it was very sincere!!! It's sooooo much change for all of us but I think mostly for Kinsley because she's always had me with her all day everyday. I am trying to give all my attention to her when I am home but sometimes she still goes and sits with Gran Gran!!! Makes me jealous! Haha. But anyway I'm getting tired of typing soooo.. Ta-ta for now!

My first week of Cosmetology!
Hello out there!!!
Wow, I can't even believe that my first week of school has already come & gone! What a blast it has been. I'll try to cover as much as I can remember!
Tues. January 4- I drove to school since I didn't know how the Coaster thing worked and went to school with hopes of meeting a girl who took the Coaster so we could ride together! Kind of surprising to me, I didn't feel nervous going in to school by myself. I guess I am growing up into a big girl!! I sat down in the waiting area where a few other girls sat, said "Hi" and listened to what they were talking about.. One of the girls said she lived in Oceanside and took the Coaster!! How amazing! Found out her name was Jennifer (but she goes by "Jennay") and also a Marine Wife. Even better! More girls crowded around the waiting area as time went on. And we were greeted by all the "older" students with enthusiastic "Hello New Core!! Awwww! You are going to love it here!" Core is what our first 6 weeks of class is called. So they call us new core! Hah. But everyone was soooo friendly and OPTIMISTIC! Definitely rubbed off on all of us "new kids" and set us in the right mood for the start of an exciting day for us! A learning leader (what they call teachers at school) walked us to our class and told us to find our names at the tables. Found mine in the back corner of the class. Sat down & told the girl in front of me "Hey.. I'm Chynna" and she picked up her pre-made name tag and pointed and said "Hi, I'm Jennifer A.!!" it was cute. Then Jennay sat down at my table too! And another girl, Ariel. Our "Learning Leader"'s name is Patricia (feels weird calling a teacher by only her first name, but I suppose I'll get use to it!) she claims she's been alive for a million years, and she's also one of the upbeat, positive women I've met! It's so nice to be around such positive energy, it encourages me to want to learn and also, be nice back. Later that morning, Patricia had each of us to stand & tell everyone our name, where we are from, something unique about yourself, and a funny story. That day was really long for all of us, because all we did was read over Orientation papers & Guidelines. Definitely not what we came to school to do, haha! Thankfully, Makenze had warned me about the first day so I was prepared. Anyway, I talked to Jennay about the Coaster & told her I would ride with her the next day. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO SAY BUT WHEW- I AM GETTING TIRED...
MY FIRST DAY--
Wednesday-Saturday
I forgot to mention on the first day we actually recieved our KITS!!!! It was like Christmas in our classroom!! We were all sooooooooo excited to unwrap everything and get it all set up in our fancy kits!! Made me feel professional without even knowing a clue about hair. Wednesday through Saturday has been a whirlwind. I cannot even believe how much we have been taught in such short amount of time. I learned yesterday that I cannot wear heels EVER AGAIN!! We stood ALL DAY LONG and my feet almost fell off because I wore uncomfortable (but CUTE.....) heels. So.. Today I wore my flats and stayed a happy camper. So in a nutshell, we learned how to to rope braids, over handed braids, under handed braids, fishtail braids, bamboo braids, angel braids, pin curls, fingerwaves, rollers, french twist & an updo in the shape of a BOW that is sooo cute!! Now, just because we were taught to do these things doesnt mean I actually know how. Well, I do know how to do most of them but I need a LOTTTTTTTTTT of practice!! And yes, if you are wondering, I've missed my baby girls SO MUCH! But in all honesty I don't have much time to miss them (which is a good thing) because we are so busy at school. I do feel like they look older everyday when I come home, and my time with them is more precious to me than ever. I've made friends with pretty much all 23 classmates and they all know me as "Chynna, from Alabama", but whatever, at least they don't make fun of my accent. Yeah, apparently I've got an accent! I'm sure I don't know what they mean....... :)
So today, we had a competition (ALREADY!?!?) on cutest "party look". I didn't know what I was doing but I just went with it. I went overboard with accessories because I had to make my dolls hair look good some how. So when I post the picture, don't hate. I've only been doing hair like 3 days. I can't wait to get better & actually be confident of what I am doing!
Well, that's my new life in a nutshell. I will try to update as much as possible. But my time is so limited now...
