Busy Monday!

Yesterday the girls & I took Daddy to work and I decided while we were out and all ready we should go to Wal-Mart and buy a few things we've been needing! So, for the very first time, I took the girls BY MYSELF to Wal-Mart! Abrielle slept most of the time and Kinsley was well behaved, other than repeating over & over again in a very loud voice "Weee!! HERE WE GO MAMA! Woo hoo!! Faster!" I bought a few necessities and we were on our way back home so I could make it to my 1500 (HAHA military for you) WIC appointment! It was SUCH a pretty day so when we got home we took advantage of it and our new stroller! I took the girls to a playground over here where we've never been and it's sand so I knew Kinsley would love it. Two of the slides had water on the ends of them so she only had one slide to go down but she enjoyed swinging and "building sand castles" just fine!

After our busy day we came in just in time for Daddy to get home from work, I made chicken & rice, it's so easy to make and chicken is all I want now a days! I think Josh is just happy that I figured out how to cook so he won't argue with anything I make.

At Wal-Mart I bought a "Snugli", I'll post pictures of what it is. I thought I was going to feel like such a weirdo with Abrielle harnessed onto me but I didnt, I actually liked it! Handsfree! Woo hoo! But, once again, I am feeling like SUCH a mom! A nerdy one, but... who cares!?!

 It's actually really comfortable and she absolutely loved it, so, it's a winner! I also bought her a "Jenny Jumper" but she's not strong enough to use it yet, by the end of this month she will be able to use it, I believe!

Andrea recently asked what color my Abby's eyes are! They are BLUE, for the record! I tried getting a picture of them, but had been messing with her before that so I proceeded to do so in the mini photo shoot! :)

 

It's a TERRIBLE picture, I'm so mean! I couldnt do it with just one hand, earlier I had been using both my hands to lift up her heavy cheeks and make her smile with her no teeth, it made us both laugh, a lot! but, my at least my nails look good, right? :)

I'd also like to say that today is 3 weeks from Whitney & Mia's trip out here!! Ya hooo!

Start of something new??

Hello Loves!!

Abrielle is doing much better! She will be seen this Thursday (her 3 month birthday!) to get an ultrasound on her kidneys. We're expecting a call from the pediatrics urology office very soon! I found out that the office is over a hour & a half away from here, I can't believe I'll (most likely) have to make the drive by myself with the girls. I won't count on Josh getting off work for it! 

Proof She's Better:

Kinsley FINALLY went to Bible class alone this morning! Every other time I've had to sit in there with her, and for the people who haven't heard my Kinsley's ear piercing cry, don't judge me for not just making her stay & letting her cry it out! That girl has a screaming cry your ears will never forget, and hope to never hear again :) I told her this morning "Mama really wants to go to my Bible class, but you've got to stay in here with Ms Kathy!" She looks at me with her big puppy dog blue eyes ".... okay, Mommy. Go!" I also offered to teach Wednesday night Bible class for Kinsley's age. Which is only her and another little boy, but that's more than enough kids to teach! :) I took the girls to a church in Yucca Wednesday night & to my surprise the doors were locked and nobody was there. Not cool! :(

This is Kinsley with our new DOUBLE STROLLER we bought!! It's a Sit N Stand stroller (You can take out the back seat and she can actually stand or sit on a 'bench' type seat, while strolling!) Super cool in Kid Land, I'd say. I want one for myself! Josh, push me please!

We also got our new furniture in this week! To those who've seen our couches before, I know you're thinking, "They look the same" but they arent. They have a tint of brown in them and are 300 times more comfortable and fluffier!! We love them!

Love it!! And we're planning on getting a new table, OUT WITH THE GLASS! Kids finger prints and GLASS do not mix!

Onto my "title" of this blog,

I was getting my nails done today and asked the lady how long it took to get her manicurist license (I've ALWAYS had this weird fascination with acrylic nails! I've wanted to learn how  ever since I first got my nails done when I was about 13) She told me she got hers in 8 months but if I was interested I should get a license in full Cosmetology so that I could do hair, nails, barber, wax, (that may be it). I don't know the first thing about how to do hair or nails, but I'd really love to learn so that counts for something, right?? I'm in the process of filling out a student aid application! I found a Beauty School in Palm Desert (an hour from here) I may just do it!!! Wouldn't hurt to try!

Hey Readers!!

I have a couple "new" people readin this so I'm gonna try to make it really interesting. Keyword:TRY.

I bought a handy-dandy planner book thingy from the dollar tree the other day so I could hopefully keep up with my days better. I feel like the days just FLY BY and I never know where the time went. So keeping up with this will help me a lot. I also desire to get better with celebrating people's birthdays more often this year! 

All right,Let's start with Monday! As I stated in my previous blog my Abrielle had a fever. Monday it wasn't high so I wasn't worried anymore. Until about 3am Tuesday when I woke up to feed her my little angel was ON FIRE! I put baby wipes all on her head and neck while I fed her to cool her down but they turned hot immediately! That morning I took her to the emergency room and they stuck an IV in her (sooo pitiful, i know those things HURT!) and also a catheter!

*VERY LONG STORY SHORT*....

My little baby has a KIDNEY INFECTION! :( I took her back to the Dr Wednesday & she asked to see her again on Friday, just to make sure she was okay. She's okay as she can be, and we will be seeing a radiologist hopefully this week to get an ultrasound done on her kidneys, & then an Urologist is supposed to be calling me with an appt date, too. Hopefully we'll get better info on this so I can fully understand what's going on. FORTUNATELY she's not been acting like she's in very much pain!

Thursday night me & Shelby went to Jennifer's house for Kirsten's "Stampin Up!" Party, it was soo cute! It's basically all kinds of scrapbooking stuff, she demonstrated how to make this one card so all the girls & I made two cards each! I made a V day card for my hunny and a birthday card for Mama. SO MAMA! When you get your bday card, just know that I put it all together, you'll love it, it's very cute. It definitely looks like I bought it at a fancy card store. 

 Friday night we just chilled out at home watched Netflix movies, and I made "homemade pizza" for dinner. Saturday aka yesterday we went to Palm Springs/Desert area to couch shop!! Whew, to be parents!!!!!!! Abrielle was really good, slept basically the whole time, Kinsley was a different story.. We made it though. Ended up eating dinner at Applebees just so the girls could get out of the car before our hour drive back home. Sitting across from us were these two old women and an old man, basically staring at us the whole time. It didn't bother me because they kept complimenting us on how well behaved our kids were & how cute of a family we were!!! :) :) And when they got up to leave they played peek a boo with Kinsley and she loved it. She misses having Grandparents around and it breaks my heart! :( 

We ended up purchasing a couch,love seat, and recliner from the beloved Big Lots. Yes, we drove all that way for a store that we have in Yucca (25 min from here). But whatever it was a fun filled day and we LOVE what we bought! They're delivering it tomorrow!!

Whew, This is enough. Think I covered everything.

My new favorite gadget!! Actually bought this for Abrielle's crib but she's not sleeping in there yet so I put it in the bathroom while she took a bath and got to cook while watching her play in the tub! Then moved it to her room to watch her sleep! Oh, I love it!!!!

Hellooooo out there!!

It's been a VERY quick week since I last updated on here. Josh being off last Monday made the week go by in a blink! Last Tuesday I took the girls to my friend's house in Yucca Valley where she held a pretty big "Play date". There were 5 mommies with I think, 9 kids?? It was wild but Kinsley had the time of her life! She's always had this "fear" of little boys but she got along with the boys that day.. When we first got there she'd scream if a boy came near her but I asked her "Do we need to go bye-bye?? (she shakes head) Well then go be nice or we'll leave".. She REALLY wanted to stay and play so she finally gave in and was NICE! Whew, if she's not HARD-HEADED I don't know WHO is!! And yes, she DEFINITELY gets that from her daddy!!! That's also the day I started my video work out! Oh my goodness, she (Jillian Michaels, from "The Biggest Loser") kicked my booty!! I could barely walk for two days.. I finally was able to do it again on Friday & whadda ya know, I wasn't even sore Saturday. So I'm glad that part is over. Now I've just gotta stick to it....... Hmmm...

OH! Fabulous news! Whitney & Mia are coming out here!! March 2-7!! We're THRILLED!!!!! I seriously cannot WAIT to see Mia's little face! I miss her SOOO much!!!!!! We're gonna take the girls to Sea World in San Diego, We'll call that celebrating Kinsley's birthday since her bday is on the 9th that month. We're so excited! I just can't mention it to Kinsley very often because she gets confused thinking they're coming that exact moment.. Speaking of that little runt! She walks around holding a snow globe (Valentine's day themed, tho) and I told her "Kinsley be careful, don't drop it, It'll break" NOT EVEN ONE MINUTE LATER... Goes into the living room, holds it over her head, and drops it, very much on purpose... She turns and looks at me and starts crying! I said girl you knew it would break! What am I gonna do with her?!? Abrielle on the other hand has a fever today of 100.5.. :( But no symptoms!?!? I'm waiting for the corpsman from the hospital to call me back and give me 'advice..

Anyway, last night we went to Palm Springs for our friend Jennifer's birthday, ate at Olive Garden. Then went to another friend's house for cake & ice cream. Kinsley has learned all the girls names and I know she thinks she's as old as us.. She's a cutie though... Definitely knows how to make you feel special!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day/Weekend!

Because of the holiday, Josh will be getting off work at noon today and won't have to go back work til Tuesday! Yayy.. So I've gotta hurry & write this then go clean the house! *SOMEONE*'s birthday is in a couple days...... She's gonna be OLD! 26!! Just kidding, the closer I get to that age the more I think it's NOT OLD :) Best wishes to my sister, Andrea! Hope you have a Happy Weekend & Mom, if yall are still planning on driving down there, be careful! Yesterday some of my fellow Marine wives & I met at this little 'cafe' for lunch, course I had to take my babies, but they were on good behavior, thank goodness! :) And, Tomorrow we're having friends over to grill out and just hang out. I don't know what else is planned for the weekend.. Probably nothing out of the ordinary :) Ok this update was pretty pointless but since I don't have my 'social networks' anymore I'm kinda bored...

Hi family!

It's hard to come up with a title all the time!

Hmmmm what to say...

It's Wednesday morning, I'm holding my *TWO* month old in my arms and Kinsley's playing with some ribbon that I could probably bet came from Gaga!! I'm so glad I'm here in California in this warm-ish weather! I've never been a fan of Winter's weather so I'm just really content here while it's been snowing in Alabama.. It's been mid-to-upper 60's for the past week and even hit 70+ a few times. Enough about the weather though!! I just can't believe Abrielle is 2 months old already :(( She's going to be sitting up and crawling soon :( :( 

 

So anyway.. Josh & I watch this show "Intervention", its about families giving their drug addicted/alcoholic son/daughter/etc an intervention to get better! And I thought to myself I need to give myself an intervention for the computer! Haha. I am just online wayyyy too much! So yesterday, I decided to delete my Myspace and Facebook accounts! I've had those accounts for SEVERALLLL years!! They've filled my (free) time for years & years now. So it was a big deal! Josh came home & I told him & he was shocked, he said "Good! You ARE obsessed with the computer!" I said I know! I'm such a nerd!! Then later he asked what made me get rid of them & I told him I felt like I should be doing other things and he said like what & I told him "house stuff and play with Kinsley more.." and he said he was so proud of me that I was being really mature cause other wives my age would probably never think of something like that. I've already made plans to organize the laundry room and do a lesson everyday from this lesson book "Standing on Solid Ground" Whit sent me. It's hard to be your only motivator sometimes. But I've gotta do it!

I looooooooove Valentine's Day!!! Simply because I LOVE hearts! And the colors pink & red. And frilly little things. Once Josh gets home from work he's letting me go to the Dollar Tree so I can get Valentine's Day decorations! I'm so excited to have an excuse to decorate the house in hearts! I have spent the past hour searching for "blog layouts" or "blog templates" for this stinkin blog and WOW, 9 out of 10 websites required payment for them!! I saw several for $35-$50 for a BACKGROUND?!?! That's sooo crazy!! And when I'd download a free one, it'd come up in a different language. I guess it's just not meant to be. So I'll stick with a plain, super free one until I wanna waste more time getting a cute one. I found some cute heart pictures on my way that I wanna share just because I love the hearts!

Last night was the Alabama vs Texas game, to be technical it was the BCS National Championship (I don't even know what that means) the game was here in California, just like 2 hours from us actually! In Pasadena. Bammer won! Yeah, Roll Tide.. Go Elephants.. Whatever :) Josh had 4 of his Marine friends over and I made cheesedip in the crock pot and Josh grilled chicken & steak! I stayed upstairs most of the time because they were getting loud and Abrielle wanted to sleep! She's been such a good girl to me, letting me sleep for several hours a night! What a blessing. Kinsley's a wanna-be teenager who stays in her room all day watching either "Mermaid" (The little mermaid) or Finding Nemo! I caught her last night coloring all over her stepping stool (to get onto her tall bed) I don't know where she found crayons but I didnt even stress it, she's just 2, it's bound to happen. Plus, they've come out with those fancy "Magic Erasers" & I'm sure if I buy one, her stool will be good as new!

OH! So those of you wondering about my dear husband.. He got pinned for Sgt on Tuesday! It's so weird that he's a Sgt, that's a really big deal in military world! :) He sooo deserves it! It's not officially on paper yet but its a 99% chance he IS going to deploy in October :( I try thinking, 'I'll cross that bridge when I get there', but it's not working in this case.. I've gone through soo many emotions this week, confused, mad, DEPRESSED, suuuuuper angry, anxious. :( Trying to give all my worries to God, but it's EASIER SAID THAN DONE ya know!? I Wish I could do something besides pray, I guess I wanna fight back, but he's such a good Marine he feels like fighting to get out of this would be wrong. He feels like it's his job to go (which technically it is..) but I can't help but wonder how I'm going to handle two babies on my own, in the middle of the desert. All of my friends out here are moving this summer. So it's back to knowing no one!! I know God will provide, though. I just hate thinking of having to worry about him all the time plus keep it together for the sake of our two Princesses..

Wow, So I basically just wrote a NOVEL! Sorry!!

I've been doing Yoga on my Wii Fit Plus & WOW-WEE I am sore! But I love this feeling, it means I did a good work out! Yippee!

Josh is being promoted to Sergeant today! I woke up this morning SO excited for him. Then he came home for lunch and everything's just a big blur now. He told me he spoke with his career planner (and then his first sgt) & the guy basically told him there's a possibility Josh will be requested to stay with his unit (here, in 29 palms) who are DEPLOYING in about 9 months. I didn't even ask many questions because every time I thought of one, I was like, what's it matter? It's not gonna change anything, so why ask and possibly get in an argument over it.. So I am BEGGING **YOU** who ever is reading this and whoever you know PLEASE pray that this will NOT go through and we will stay on the plan we had! For us to PCS to Camp Pendleton in June after Josh graduates his SOI school. AND NO DEPLOYING POSSIBLE! :( I am completely devastated at the thought of this I haven't been able to smile since he told me. I mean, a third tour overseas, not to mention it's to Afghanistan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm completely down in the dumps and I wish I could do more than pray and wait. That's so tough to just wait and see. :( I know it will or won't happen, whatever God wants for us, that's what'll happen. But I am soo selfishly praying that this is not God's plan for us! Pray please

Twenty-Ten or Two Thousand-Ten?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow, 2010!! So how will you say 2010? Twenty Ten or Two Thousand (and) Ten?! I think I'll say two thousand ten but eventually join the world and call it 'twenty ten'. I remember new years eve 1999, when it turned to the 'millennium', when the whole world went crazy buying canned food, milk and bread thinking the computers were going to go hay-wire but WE SURVIVED! and now look at us, ten years later! Wow time does fly. I knew that already!! Any-who, for new years eve we didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Josh grilled us steaks and I made mashed potatoes, corn, and macaroni and cheese! We watched "I love you Beth Cooper" and actually made it to midnight, popped open our bottle of Welch's Sparkling red grape juice and called it a night! :) I've been pretty sick with sinus mess all week. Josh had it last week and he passed it to me. Speaking of Josh he woke me up last night saying he'd "gotten sick" and I just shrugged my shoulders because I was positive he was talking in his sleep.. But then he got up again and I asked him why was he getting sick and he didnt know. He's not up yet and neither is my Princess Kinsley! It's almost 10! Wow I wish ABRIELLE would let me sleep til 10! :) The weather is suppose to be high 60's low 70's this week so I'm excited to get warm-ish weather! California isnt all bad :) I wish I could say I have pics from New Years Eve but like I said we didnt do anything........ Like my new layout for my blog? It took me forever to figure out how to switch it! I give Andrea props for changing hers to match the closest holiday, you're smart to know how to change it! Anyway, I'm really excited to see what the Lord wills for me and my family this year! I guess my only "new year resolution" would be to be a better Christian. I think everything else will fall into place if I can accomplish that! What's yours?!?!
