Yesterday we went to the Wild Animal Park, lots of fun and excitement, and HEAT! It made me realized that we're spoiled living close to the ocean breeze where it never gets too hot. Afterward we stopped at this little Fruit Stand on the corner & bought a couple things then we came home, ate, and went fishing on the O'side pier! Well, they fished. Anyone who knows me knows that I couldn't care less about fishing. But I don't mind watching! Especially when I get to stare out into the ocean the whole time.

Ma&Pa's 2nd day in California
I'm on a roll with blogging! But I have to admit it's because I'm trying to give Josh and his parents a lot of "alone time" because I know their time together is rare. Right now I'm on my laptop in our bedroom, first time I've used this thing since we've moved in! Forgot how much I like it :) So anyway, this morning we all woke up around 8 and I took the girls downstairs but Josh's parents insisted I did whatever I want, so I decided to take a shower! I can't even tell you the last time I got to take a shower first thing in the morning (instead of feeding the girls, dressing them, tending to them, Etc Etc!!!) I was even able to get dressed and blow dry my hair (what!??!) Then I went *by myself* to Big Lots to buy me a new memory card for my camera (my 4gb is nearly full, only had it since MARCH...) and also bought two beach chairs!!! Would've bought more but they didn't have anymore of the ones on sale. So two is good for now, myself & Michelle are really the only ones who need them. Plus, after they leave it'll just be us two anyway, no need for more.. After Josh got home around 1230 we took them to the Oceanside Pier and ate at the end of the pier at Ruby's Diner. It was really good and the scenery was amazing! We seriously live in a permanent vacation spot! People were lined up all down the pier, fishing and just enjoying the beautiful day. I just am dying for all of our family members and friends to come visit us, it's such an exciting thing to share with his parents! Never a dull moment.. OH!!! and since we always go to the beach on base (FREE PARKING) we just don't even think about when we park anywhere OFF BASE. Well, we were UNFORTUNATELY reminded of PAYING FOR YOUR SPOT when we got back to BOTH of our vehicles and found a ticket for each $55.00. I Kid You Not. :((( I couldn't believe we forgot to pay (you park, then get a ticket from the "pay here" thing-a-ma-jig then display it on your dashboard inside) but like I said, we're so use to parking FOR FREE on base. Lesson learned, we will definitely be Beach Base Go-ers for good now.....
We left (because the beach there was "too crowded" according to my in-laws) but just drove to the beach on base instead. For the first time since we've lived in CA, I got into the ocean, waist deep! It was Sooooo cold!! Imagine ice cold water for a second. Now imagine standing waist deep in that water. That, times 2 is what the ocean water feels like. It's so cold that it hurts and takes your breath away! I tried to play in it with Josh but I really just couldn't enjoy it because I could'nt hardly breathe!!!
Every Thursday in Oceanside they have a Farmers Market, I've heard great things about it, and always mean to go, but we've not yet! We were going to go tonight but Josh's mom is in bad health so she was pretty beat after our activities today. Hopefully we'll go next Thursday.
That's about it for today. Whew.
Thanks for reading :)

Mamaw & Papaw made it to California!
I figure I should take this free moment to update with pictures because I know once they leave I'll have so many pics I'll be overwhelmed and not want to upload any at all. So here's their first day in California!
Mamaw brought presents! Her favorite were the painted finger nails. A great present, why didn't I think to get her those!? Anywho, Thanks Mamaw!
Their first feel of the icy pacific ocean! Brrr...
Mrs. California Sand herself! ;)
We walked out onto the jetty, right before this, a huge wave crashed on the rocks and got us ALL wet!
Kinsley's expression is priceless! She was preparing for the wave to crash again!
momma bear and baby bear :)

I'm the baby, gotta love me.
This post will be about our little ABRIELLE ALYSE....
She's 9 months & one week old now. And the clingy-I-only-want-my-mommy stage has begun!! Oh my goodness. When she's on the ground, she's constantly looking at me, crawling to me, whining to me, like "Pick me up, woman!!". Mama can't always hold her, though!! And even when I do have her in my arms she's RESTLESS (it's been AWFUL in church) and I don't know what I'm suppose to do.. I know this happened with Kinsley when she was little(r) but I don't even remember how I dealt with it then. Any advice, from you mommies out there?? It's almost like I can't make her happy! She just wants up and down up and down, and I'm getting exhausted from it.. She gets in to EVERYTHINGGGGG! Example this morning, Kinsley was eating cereal at the coffee table, and I already predicted little Ab would spill it so I took her in my arms for a while but she wanted down, then, within a blink of an eye, I hear Kinsley "TOOTER!!! No!! Mom LOOK!!" and of course, she spilled it everywhere :) Fun stuff... And anytime I leave the room, even if I gave her to Josh, she cries. And looks around for me (says Josh). I love my girls, though! Just waring me out a little.
Tomorrow, Josh's parents fly out here to LAX, originally I was suppose to pick them up but Josh thinks he'll be able to get off work in time to get them. More power to him, I wasn't looking forward to that drive with the girls anyway.Saying his parents are flying in together, I couldn't help but wonder what it'd be like if both my parents came out here together,as in still married! It's so weird to think about how different things would be right now if they weren't divorced. Okay, enough down sappy memory lane. We're looking forward to them coming, showing them our house & all around southern California! I'm sure pictures will be coming soon. They leave the 31st I believe. But they also will go stay with Jacob some too.
Today I'm going to this girls "Scentsy Party" I looked on the Scentsy website and it looks like stuff I'd LOVE so I'm really excited. I've never met her before, and don't know anyone who will be there. Family, you should be proud of me for trying so hard to make new friends, haha! I'm a big girl.. I have to be!!
XOXO

Friday The 13th
Ooohh *spooky* it's Friday the 13th!
... Not.
I actually favor the number 13 because I was born on that day! So, naturally, I think it's a blessed number, not superstitious :) Ohh I can be so vain sometimes! Any who, this morning I ran to the commissary (and I really did have to run, it's pay day, and this base is huge, therefore the commissary is the last place you want to be on pay day!) I got in and out quickly. My dear friend Megan asked me to join her at the gym afterward (which by the way I've been going for a few days now) so we got to catch up on the past few weeks and got in a good work out! I couldn't believe how long we'd been there when we looked at the time, I guess bringing a friend to work out with you is a great idea because talking to her made the time go by so quickly! Woo hoo! Not much else is going on around here.. Just the regular stuff. Josh starts combat marksmanship course on Monday. His parents are coming out here on Wednesday, so I've gotta pick them up at the beloved LAX..... Mannnn I loathe that airport/area! But it really is the best price plane tickets (most of the time) so I'm hoping we'll be in and out... The weather has been sooo beautiful lately, very thankful for that! & I'm so thankful for all this family time we've been getting to spend together. Kinsley & I went to the beach alone the other day, so I may have a few pics to share. Other than that I reckon I'm done typing!
Thanks for reading!

I was just browsing websites & came across a really good quote! Here:
"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich."
isn't that the truth?? I am so grateful for my little family God's given me, and of course for my sissys & parents and in laws & relatives!! What's life without family?! :)
(story behind this picture, Josh spent all day one day re-laying the rocks and bricks! it looks great! we added tiki torches. we plan on making it a tropical feeling patio!)
Kinsley took this picture of Mommy!
This was Kinsley's :Sand Castle:.. Looks like it took some time, Huh??
