Quiet Friday Night

Well, this is rare! Josh passed out about 7 tonight in his recliner, he has had a long long week. He's been at the Riffle Range and has had to get up around 3am every morning and has worked long days. Kinsley's tucked in bed and Abrielle is asleep in her swing! SO I get a moment to blog. Our week was pretty simple, just how I like it. Wednesday Chrissy & her kiddos came by to play for a while, Kinsley loved every minute of it! It made me even more excited for Mia to get here, I can only imagine the fun they're going to have. That evening I got ready and took Kinsley to Bible class and unfortunately, once again, nobody came! So we sat in class and I taught her "Honor thy Mother & thy Father" but to help her understand it I taught her to say "God wants you to be nice to mommy & daddy" she got that down pat after a few tries and she colored her picture! I won't go on about how discouraged I am out here when it comes to church. I completely took for granted having a great church back home. I guess I just assumed there were great churches everywhere!

Last night when Josh got home he said we were going to go eat with his friends and their wives at this delicious (to me, anyway) pizza place out here. It was nice to get out and even nicer to come home to a clean kitchen. I (sometimes we) cook EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and not that I don't love a home cooked meal but the mess afterward is not very fun. I tell Josh every now and then, "I'll pay you a dollar to clean the kitchen." He's so sweet, he does it, no charge! :) I know how lucky I am to have him.

Please continue to keep this "job thing" in your prayers! It's looking more on the bright side and I am already feeling warm and fuzzy inside! But I'm not counting on it, I know not to, THANK YOU MARINE CORPS for teaching me to never count on anything! Actually I could admit I was sorta raised to think that. Ok that's just sad.

This is my [pregnant] friend Shelby! Her baby shower was at our church yesterday, she & her husband are moving bases, to HAWAII! Poooor things! They're just gonna hate perfect weather and post-card like scenery! :) I will miss her! They're having a little girl, Ayla. Good luck to the parents-to-be!!

I just can't believe how big my Abrielle is getting. I truly am soaking up every minute with her! She is so lucky to have Kinsley as a big sis and Josh as a Daddy! He never stops impressing me with his fatherly skills, it comes sooo natural to him! And Kinsley is just precious with her, I need to buy more blank DVD's so I can be recording all of these special moments..

Whitney & Mia will be here *NEXT* TUESDAY!! Can't believe it!! Soooo excited! I may just cry when I see how much Mia has really grown!

She finds her hands and sucks on them and makes this popping noise, usually I find mouth noises very annoying but she makes it sound sooo cute! I just love her.

 She's a happy baby, so she has a happy Mama!

Abrielle has been anti-daddy since last night. We've done a few 'tests' a few times today to see if it really is him that she doesn't want to be with. Anddd unfortunately, it is! It's soo adorable to watch tho, I can't help but love seeing her little fat cheeks quivering right before the big cry.. Here's an example!

She looks around for me once she's in Daddy's hands and when she can't really see me or Josh talks, that first face happens. Maybe she's just getting attached to her Mama!! :)

Tiny tid-bit of information

Josh came home from work today and said that his First SGT told him that Josh's name is on the list to go to SOI school for April! BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT *as usual* this could always change. Example: They go down the list of selections and see Josh's name and they could be like "we have enough guys coming in for school, we don't need anyone else". Josh seems to think he's going to go but neither of us are counting on it, just hoping!! I wanted to write this real quick so I could ask my faithful readers for PRAYERS! I want this to work out soo badly! Thanks!

A day without Daddy

Josh had to go to "the field" yesterday and stay the night, it's the first night we've been apart since he got home in October! I didn't like the feeling but then again I'm grateful that we've had sooo much time together! I know to be thankful for every moment together. Anyway, after we took him to work yesterday we went home and I got a lot of laundry done, then we did our usual stroll around the 'neighborhood' & stopped at the playground for a couple minutes! I got to catch up on some of my shows since Josh wasnt home to tell me to turn it off. Thank goodness for DVR! :) Then today we got up and got dressed to meet some girls at The Wonder Garden Cafe for lunch, first time eating there and I got a hamburger, it was mostly "wraps" and sandwiches & other healthy stuff on the menu, none of which I'm fond of. Afterwards I took the girls to the hospital for Abrielle to get her shots. Before I could even get her bottle out of the diaper bag he was already done giving her shots! I couldn't believe how quick it was, usually the dr will ask you to help hold down her arms or leg. I guess he's super experienced!! Now we're at home and I could REALLY go for a nap but mothers of two babies just don't get naps.

Valentine's Day Weekend

Happy Valentine's Day! To those who celebrate.. :) We've had GORGEOUS weather for the past couple days and we've been taking advantage of it by taking long walks around here! Josh joined us on our walks yesterday and today, which I especially enjoyed because he will push the very heavy double stroller for me! But for the most part (and up this steep hill) I push them, cause I'm the one who is wanting to shed post-pregnancy pounds!! Anywhooo! We had a rather tough weekend, Kinsley's stomach bug is getting a little better today, but she almost refuses to drink anything all day. I don't know how we're supposed to keep her hydrated when she won't drink anything! We offer her anything she wants but she just won't. Which is not like her AT ALL! Normally I'll give her a juice box and she's finished with it before she even makes it to the couch. So, keep her in your prayers, please!

Busy Monday!

Yesterday the girls & I took Daddy to work and I decided while we were out and all ready we should go to Wal-Mart and buy a few things we've been needing! So, for the very first time, I took the girls BY MYSELF to Wal-Mart! Abrielle slept most of the time and Kinsley was well behaved, other than repeating over & over again in a very loud voice "Weee!! HERE WE GO MAMA! Woo hoo!! Faster!" I bought a few necessities and we were on our way back home so I could make it to my 1500 (HAHA military for you) WIC appointment! It was SUCH a pretty day so when we got home we took advantage of it and our new stroller! I took the girls to a playground over here where we've never been and it's sand so I knew Kinsley would love it. Two of the slides had water on the ends of them so she only had one slide to go down but she enjoyed swinging and "building sand castles" just fine!

After our busy day we came in just in time for Daddy to get home from work, I made chicken & rice, it's so easy to make and chicken is all I want now a days! I think Josh is just happy that I figured out how to cook so he won't argue with anything I make.

At Wal-Mart I bought a "Snugli", I'll post pictures of what it is. I thought I was going to feel like such a weirdo with Abrielle harnessed onto me but I didnt, I actually liked it! Handsfree! Woo hoo! But, once again, I am feeling like SUCH a mom! A nerdy one, but... who cares!?!

 It's actually really comfortable and she absolutely loved it, so, it's a winner! I also bought her a "Jenny Jumper" but she's not strong enough to use it yet, by the end of this month she will be able to use it, I believe!

Andrea recently asked what color my Abby's eyes are! They are BLUE, for the record! I tried getting a picture of them, but had been messing with her before that so I proceeded to do so in the mini photo shoot! :)

 

It's a TERRIBLE picture, I'm so mean! I couldnt do it with just one hand, earlier I had been using both my hands to lift up her heavy cheeks and make her smile with her no teeth, it made us both laugh, a lot! but, my at least my nails look good, right? :)

I'd also like to say that today is 3 weeks from Whitney & Mia's trip out here!! Ya hooo!

That's it for now, I just wanted to update since I had new pictures and we actually did something yesterday so I had something to talk about!
