New Knitter

So yesterday I came to the realization that I want to be crafty. I just decided I wanted to learn how to knit. So I went to Michaels, not having a clue what I was picking out.. Or doing. Grabbed some yarn, this loom knit thing to make scarves, and some knitting needles! Came home and watched a YouTube video on loom knitting a scarf, and began my journey!!

Random things.. Still not sure what everything is.. The blue thing is what I used to make the scarf tho! It's so simple!!! Yay! 

Josh took this of me beginning my newfound hobby..

I could hardly wait to come home from work so I could work on it!! That's a good sign, I'd say :) Olive says she's over it....

And... Wa- la! An infinity scarf for yours truly. I chose white so I could wear it to work. I'm already working on the girls a colorful little scarf! Super excited to expand my skills to the actual knitting needle later.

Kinsley is officially a second grader! She loves JNES already and has made "5 new friends" :)

Driving School: level 2 Grad

Driving school is no laughing matter BUT I just wanted to document this because no matter what, my kiddos support me;)

Came home to this sign that the girls, Mia and aunt Whitney so graciously made me! I spent 2 nights a total of 8 hours in driving school this week. Praise The Lord that it's over & I don't owe any more money!!

African goodies

Today was my first day back to work after what felt like a very long vacation! I was so excited to get back to work. I love my job and the people I work with , I think they like me too ;)

Well too bad I failed to get a picture of Jessica who just got back from spending 8 wks in Togo, Africa! After work this evening we went to Granny & Papa's to eat Mexican chowder and visit with Aunt Jess :) It ended up being Jasmine Nathan & their girlies and Jacob Katie & their 4- the cousins (which are 8 kids total!) had lots of fun running around in the yard, catching frogs, picking vegetables out of Josh's garden, & playing sardines and hide & go seek. Wish I had gotten pictures of that too- oh well! 

These are the awesome African souvenirs Jess got us!! She got josh a hand made knife but it's not pictured..:)

Okay/ that's it for now! Even though granny had tons of yummy food to eat these are my kids eating granola bars and PB sandwiches instead :(

Gulf Shores 2014

We made our annual girls beach trip to Gulf Shores this past week & had so much fun! I took about a thousand pictures and I've already ordered them to be delivered next week so I'll only upload a few favorites :)

This was the evening we got there, the wind was crazy and waves were out of control! We later found out that a young man was swept away this very evening in GS.:(  praying for his family! Can't imagine.. 

Shout out to Mama for snapping this pic of Andrea Whitney and myself. Very classic :)

Whitney made the 2014 out of shells, I think this picture turned out pretty perfect!! 

If you know mama, you know she's not crazy about "fake smiling" for pictures. Some of the best shots I took of her & the girls were from behind, haha!

Thank goodness for the iPhone, otherwise I wouldn't have this picture!! Love my girls:)

bye bye, babies.

as of last Thursday, the girls (and mama, and preslee) have been longggg gone! To Alabama. My dearest pregnant sis, Andrea has been showing signs that may lead her into early labor so my Mother couldn't take a risk of missing the birth so they loaded up & drove all the way back to Alabama. The girls are with Granny right now & Whitney's going to pick them up for the weekend. I'm so glad they have sooo many people who love them and are actually, sort of, fighting for them! I don't like the fighting part of course.. So I've just been taking it easy for a week now and I'm completely over it!!! Tonight I've decided to throw a "Half Way" slumber party for the girls at school. Half way meaning, we have reached 800 hours at school so we are HALF WAY done with school! I know, kinda cheesy but I asked them if they don't celebrate the little things in life then it just passes you by. Plus it's a good excuse to have a girly good time! I've skipped school today for a few reasons so I'm going to take full advantage and tidy the house & then go by some cute decorations for tonight. NO BOYS ALLOWED!! 

Anyway, that's my un-eventful update for the month so far..

MEMORIAL DAY '11

Similar to last year, we spent Memorial Day at the beach! We invited some new friends who were from Ardmore, AL and also the Williamson's, Cate's & L's joined! Awesome, perfect day.

3 years of marriage

[I'm going to ignore the fact I haven't blogged in over a month...]

Last Sunday was our 3 year anniversary! I can hardly believe it's been 3 years, but then again I do feel like we've been together for nearly 7 years (on Sept 24, to be exact) which feels like forevvvaaa! :) We went to Los Angeles last Saturday to watch the L.A Dodgers (that's baseball, for all you non-sporty folks) and ate dinner at P.F Changs & spent the night downtown L.A. It was nice to get away & be alone together! Hopefully we'll always be able to take time away for a weekend to celebrate every year. The weekend before that was Mother's Day. Josh gave me a really sweet & sincere card that meant soooo much to me! I'm so glad Hallmark, or whoever, came up with Mother's Day. Because it "forces" the daddy's out there to take time to really LOOK AND APPRECIATE how much we mommies do :) School's going great & I've decided to not go home in the summer when Josh & the girls go. Because I need to just get school over and done with asap. Makes me sad because I love visiting Alabama during the summer buttttt I made a committment to school & I've gotta stick it out! That's about it, I've gotta get back to being Mommy!
