Well about noon yesterday we decided we wanted to go to the beach (Why not?!) so we loaded up and stopped by Target to get some cool sand toys and we headed to Ocean Beach. Oh goodness. the parking there is terrrrrrrrrible. We couldn't find a spot! California folks are SO serious about their beaches. They must've gotten there super early for a parking spot. So then we went to Mission Beach because its just 3 miles from there. We get there and it's ridiculous there as well!!! After driving around for 20 minutes we decided to go back to the Bay we had passed on the way there. I've never been to a Bay but it looked just like the beach except no waves! So we FINALLY found a spot & had a TON of fun!! I find myself sooo content when I'm with my little family, spending quality time together. There's nothing that makes me happier. And to see Kinsley and Josh hold hands and walk down to the water together... Tearrrr! ;( I just LOVE my family soooo much!! God has SPOILED me! Me & Abby stayed under the umbrella on the sand and I let her have a little too much fun. I found her chewing on a piece of broken beer bottle glass.. Ughhh! Thank goodness she was okay. Then I let her crawl around and she ate a lot of sand.. oops. But she was having so much fun I couldn't help but let her enjoy it!! Thennnnn she had little broken seashells on her mouth and on her tongue so Mommy stopped the fun right then! She's still sneezing out sand :)
This morning we went to church & afterward Josh & Jacob decided we should go fishing! I was all for it (not the fishing part) but the being outside and together as a family part. :) I had no idea there were "lakes" just right down the road from their house! Called: Santee Lakes. I've never seen anything like it before but it was really neat and we had a lot of fun! BEAUTIFUL day outside and we're all a little burnt (except for the girls because I SPF'd them; THANK GOODNESS!) It's hard to explain what it looked like so I won't attempt to. I have pictures of course so I'll share them when I'm done typing! Although I did regret moving us out of our house, we have had SO much fun since we've moved down here on May 3rd I'm definitely saying it's worth it. I hope we have lots more days just like today. It felt like we were in Alabama because it wasn't over crowded like the beaches usually are, and it was just calm and quiet, and green grass/trees. Just had that Alabama feel, and we all loved it. Josh wanted to go again tomorrow but I told him I'd rather go to the beach, I won! ;) We're going to celebrate Memorial Day at Ocean Beach tomorrow. It's a beautiful beach with huge waves!!
Uncle Jacob got Kinsley some food to feed the ducks.... She got rid of that quickly :)
Daddy got Kinsley a Dora Fishing Pole (well, it's a beginners pole, it doesn't have a hook *thank goodness* and it has a Pink fish on the end of it. Sheeee Loveeed it!)
She was so serious! She caught so many fishies ;)
Ohhh Look at her go!!! Perfect Cast!
Aunt Elizabeth & cousin Gunner were just hangin out next to us :)
Reeling in a big cat fish!
The man I'm proud to call mine :)
Goofy Girllll!! Always playing with something!!!
Look at her go! Nat-u-ral!
Loveeee it.
Josh & Jacob fishing!
She has fists full of dirt and rocks. She said it was food for the ducks. I didn't argue.
Feeling like we're in Alabama
"ONE picture! I didn't come here to take pictures, woman! I came here to fish!"
That was the cute little island we claimed ours. Such a fun day!
So anyway, I hope your Memorial Day is spent with the ones you love & let's not forget the Fallen & their families and of course the brave men & women off serving our country!! Josh was in Iraq this time last year so I feel especially thankful to have him home with us to celebrate this year!! Love you all!~! Be safe.

A day at Coronado Island
Yesterday we went to Coronado Island in San Diego since Elizabeth's friend from home is here (Katie!) and she hasn't been to the beach yet. I tagged alone mainly for my sanity. Kinsley has been sooo full of life lately, SO HYPER! I feel like I never stop telling her "Kinsley stop, Kinsley quit, No Kinsley, Back up Kinsley," ETC ETC!! I'm not sure if it's because we're living with people so she maybe is a show off, or just gets excited that people are around. Or if it's because we're not in our house and I'm just paranoid not wanting her to touch/get into peoples things! Maybe it's both. But it's exhausting!! I'm gong to take her before the weeks over to get some toys so maybe that'll help get some energy out. But anyway we had a great time walking around Coronado! It's just soo beautiful around here. I can't get over it. And it's just so weird that its barely 25 minutes away. We no longer have to make weekend trips out of going to pretty places anymore! I now have the freedom to drive to a beach and back in one day!! Thank you Marine Corps for paying us to live in suuuuch a beautiful city!! :)
Here's the pictures I took yesterday!

And she's goneee :(
After a wonderful trip My dear dear friend has gone back home!! :( It was NOT long enough! We needed at LEAST another week. Time went by so fast when she was here. But I'm just glad she came and we got to spend a lot of time catching up and hanging out "just us" like we use to do. Friday we went to Camp Pendleton to check into our beach cottage.
I'm gonna take some time to write about the cottage details because a few girls asked me about them. So you other people won't have any interest in this next paragraph!!
First off, you cannot beat the price, $75 a night. You are RIGHT on the beach, in Southern California! Can't beat that. It's pretty plain inside though. There is one bedroom but the bed was big and comfortable, there was plenty of room for us to have the air mattress in there with us, too. Then the kitchen/living room/dining table was all one room. There was a leather futon type 'couch' so someone could sleep on that! The fridge was really short, it was funny. It had plates, cups, and bowls ready to use. Also silverware, pots and pans for cooking on the stove. There wasn't an oven but there's that "grill" thingy outside you could use! Also had a few garbage bags and a sponge with dish washing soap, Oh and no dishwasher. The bathroom is simple, too and there's no tub, just a shower. But it's a pretty big shower!! I would definitely bring more towels and washcloths, I think they gave us like 3 or 4. So they were prettttyyyyy dirty when we left :)
There's a picnic table right outside and a fire pit just for your cottage! All in all it's totally worth the money. Just wanted to give details about it. And all you have to do before you check out is sweep (brooms provided, obviously) and take out the trash (dumpsters are just outside).
I took pictures BUT PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS~!! :)
Moving on... Saturday it was pretty windy but Alyssa still got to soak up a lot of sun. As a mother your kids come before your 'wants' so I didnt get the chance as much as she did! But I don't mind it, we live here, afterall; she's just on vacation. So I'm soo glad she got to enjoy it! We ate dinner at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner and got Baskin Robbins for dessert! :) Sunday I had to take Alyssa to LAX :'( I absolutely hated leaving her!!! I wish she could've stayed much, much longer...or umm forever :)
I've gotta go, KIDS~!!!~!
