Josh-The Football Player

So my dear husband came home Monday & told me that he's on the football team. I didn't even know they had teams in the Marine Corps but, I'll go with it! He obviously started very late in the season, so late, that his first game was Tuesday and it was a play off game. Clearly, they don't have rules like you'd see in the "real world", and I like that because it gave him a great chance to be a football player again! We couldn't believe that it had been FIVE whole years since he had played!!! Tuesday was the playoff so the girls and I sat in the bleachers to support #39 Aguliar (he had to wear some guy who quits jersey, he's getting his name put on it before the next game though, haha!) Super awesome though, cause his fav NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys, and their jerseys actually look just like them! And the helmet with the star! Couldn't be more perfect for him! It was really exciting to see him out on the field again, and for our GIRLS to be able to watch him! That's just so weird that we're THAT old. Thankfully, they won, so we get to move on to the next game on Tuesday! Excited to see him play again. Have I mentioned how much the girls whine now that Abrielle is ONE? I guess I should have put argue, instead of whine. But the whining comes from Abby, and the arguing comes from Kinsley. I guess the good days are gone! Ahhh!! Oh! And yesterday, just for the record, I went to Paul Mitchell and signed the contract for school and for financial aid! So January 4th, here I come! ABRIELLE IS ONE!

That's right! Our angel turned ONE  today!!

We chose to celebrate yesterday because Josh was going to be gone today, he had to go to the Marine Corps 235th Ball. Although I'm sad I didn't get to join him, I couldn't bare to leave my sweet baby on her very first birthday. Yesterday we woke up all together, gave her a cupcake & presents! She's soooo loved. After the girls played, and napped, we decided to go eat a very late lunch at Ruby's Diner on the Pier. Well, Josh got Kinsley from the car, took her to the Pay Lot machine and I got Abrielle from the car. Closed the door. Josh opened my door & put the Pay Lot ticket on the dash, I said, Lock it. He did, just as the door was closing, he yelled "YOUR KEYS ARE IN THE IGNITION!" I couldn't believe it. I *ALWAYS* (well, except for this one time..) put the keys in my purse! My mind was in a tizzy at the time though, I wasn't used to Josh getting Kinsley from the car. If it had been me getting her out I would have opened up the passenger side door to lock it AND I WOULD HAVE NOTICED THE KEYS before!! Oh well. What's done is done.. We went to the Diner & figured we'd call a cab to get us. After all it was just like 3 miles from home. Wouldn't be that expensive! Ate a great meal together out on the ocean, walked back, called the taxi place.. Lonnng time went by & they didn't show. Josh suggest I call a friend (all his friends live on the north side of base 20+ min from us) soo I called the oh-so-dependable Megan Cate!! She came to our rescue and even brought TWO carseats!! Soooo sweet and I'm thankful so much for her! Thanks again, Megan!

After all that madness, Josh had to leave to drive to Primm, Nevada for today's Ball! The girls and I went to Toys R Us today and bought them a disney princess tent to play in! I couldn't just not give Abrielle a present ON HER BIRTHDAY! I guess it's the Mama in me. Speaking of, we got to Skype with Whit & Mia this morning then Skyped with Mama & Preslee later where she suprised us with a cake that read Abrielle is 1! They sang happy birthday, and ate the cake right in front of our faces!! Haha. It's okay tho, I have like 20 cupcakes sitting downstairs so we are GOOD on SUGAR!!! Plus all the Halloween candy.. I plan on getting rid of a lot of that in the Goodie Bags I'm giving out at Abrielle's 1st Birthday Party Saturday :) We are so excited to get our Daddy back tomorrow & set up for Saturday's party!!
